Work-life balance is an issue many of European employees are and have been facing. There is no consensus on the definition of work-life balance although the meaning behind the concept is similar among all definitions. It refers to time spent on work and the rest of life or outside work. There is no universal rule on how much time one should spend on each category. It is based on personal preferences therefore it is important to understand the needs of employees before taking any actions.
Demand in life has increased and the majority still believes it is getting even higher which can lead to an energy crisis. Energy can be expanded, can be renewed and used more efficiently. People need to learn how to manage energy not time since time is limited and remains the same while demands are increasing. There are four types of energy: physical (quantity), emotional (quality), mental (focus) and the human spirit (purpose).
